New York: Billionaire Elon Musk has come out openly in support of former US President Trump after he announced to have been indicted over his handling of classified documents.

However, news agency AFP reported that there was no immediate confirmation from the Justice Department related to Trump's claim.

Following Trump’s announcement that he was summoned by Federal court in Miami, Musk said it is ‘very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust’.

Musk’s reaction gains importance as he previously predicted that Trump would be reelected with a ‘landslide victory’ if indicted in the case.

The Telsa CEO pointed out what he said ‘far higher interest’ in pursuing Trump in the case considering other people in politics.

Trump made a bombshell assertion on his social media platform Truth Social that ‘The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax’.

If Trump is summoned by federal courthouse as he claims, it makes him the first President ever to be facing federal charges.

Despite media outlets including The New York Times reported the news the Justice Department made no confirmation of it.

Trump faces the charges of taking classified documents from White House and storing them at his resort in Florida.
