New Delhi: Following terrorist attack on a gurdwara in Kabul, Indian offered e-visa to over 100 Sikhs and Hindus in the nation.

On Saturday, the targeted blasts tore through Gurdwara Karte Parwan in what ISIS claimed avenging the insult against the Prophet Muhammad, according to AFP.

Two people, including a Sikh, were killed in the attack in the early morning that lasted for several hours.

There were about 30 people inside gurdwara at the time of the attack, according to BBC.

Three attackers were reportedly killed by the Taliban forces.

A spokesperson for the nation's Taliban regime said attackers detonated a vehicle loaded with explosives outside the gurdwara.

Prime Minister Modi condemned the "cowardly" attack against devotees and added that he was praying for the wellbeing of devotees.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said India has been closely monitoring developments since the attack.

Saturday's attack follows the deadly attack in March 2020 that killed 25 devotees when a suicide bomber attacked a gurdwara in Kabul.
