Washington: President Donald Trump has his back against the wall after the violence at US Capitol.
Reports today indicate Democrats are getting ready to impeach him before he completes the tenure.
US House Representative on Monday will introduce legislation urging the impeachment of the president.
He is more likely to face erosion from his camp in favour of impeachment.
There were now 180 co-sponsors for one new article of impeachment following rioting in the US Capitol on Wednesday by Trump supporters, says a report.
Meanwhile, police identified the man who occupied the seat of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the melee.
Richard Barnett was arrested from his home state of Arkansas. After the photograph of him sitting with feet up on the desk circulated in the media, authorities were on a lookout to identify him.
If impeachment comes through, Trump will forfeit rights entitled to a former president. A voting on the impeachment is likely on Wednesday.
