Islamabad: Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar included in his cabinet Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik’s wife Mishaal Hussain Malik, Reuters reported.

Yasin Malik, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief, was convicted by a National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in terror funding cases and sentenced to life imprisonment on May 25, 2022, according to news agency ANI.

Mishaal Hussain Malik is now Minister for Human Rights after the country’s President Arif Alvi on Thursday administered oath to members of the cabinet.

Pakistan's former central bank chief Shamshad Akhtar holds the portfolio of Finance Minister while provincial minister Sarfaraz Bugti is the Interior Minister.

Alongside appointing sixteen federal ministers, Pakistan's interim prime minister chose three advisers as well, according to a report by Dawn.

Others included in the caretaker government are Jalil Abbas Jilani, Lt General (r) Anwar Ali Hyder, Murtaza Solangi Sami Saeed, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, Ahmad Irfan Aslam, among others.

Pakistan president administered oath to the incoming ministers in the presence of outgoing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his former cabinet ministers.
