Kyiv: According to media reports, Russia claimed that it had destroyed a Ukraine plant that made anti-aircraft and anti-ship missiles, outside Kyiv, IANS reported.
BBC reported that the Russian claim comes an hour after the Moskva warship got sunk after an explosion on Wednesday.
Ukraine had claimed that it had attacked the Russian ship in the Black Sea with missiles, while Russia responded that it was an onboard fire that sunk the ship.
Now Russian defence has issued a warning that if Ukraine tries to attack Russian territory again, attacks on Kyiv will get intensified.
BBC reported that Russia had attacked the Vizar machine-building plant in the Kyiv suburb of Zhulyany using sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles. The Russian defence ministry had said the same in a statement, BBC said. Residents of Kyiv had testified that they heard explosions, while social media users informed that some places are facing power outages.
The Russian defence ministry, in its statement, had said that after its attack on the Ukraine plant, "workshops for the production and repair of long-range and medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as anti-ship missiles, were destroyed".
On Thursday, Russia accused Ukraine of sending helicopters over the border to unleash an attack on Russian towns.
