Kabul: The Taliban have executed a child in Takhar province of Afghanistan over suspicion that his father was a part of the Afghan resistance forces, reported Panjshir Observer.

"Child executed in Takhar province by Taliban fighters after his father is suspected of being in the Resistance. #WarCrimes #Afghanistan," Panjshir Observer said in a tweet.

The video attached to the tweet the child's motionless body lying on the street while three other children weep sitting next to the body.

The Taliban, who took over the war-torn country on August 15, promised there would be no revenge attacks but in Panjshir—the last province to fall to the Taliban—there have been reports of civilians getting shot as they attempt to escape.

Memories of violence during the Taliban's earlier term have been worrying observers with fears of similar acts repeating in the current term. The ransfer of power exercised in Kabul without any bloodshed, was nothing but a part of ''good image plan'', Inside Over reported.

As the Taliban took control of Afghanistan once again after 20 years, experts also fear that Afghan women are most likely to face an uncertain future under the outfit's regime.
