Kabul: Afghan's ruling Taliban has claimed that silent international recognition of the Islamic Emirate government of Afghanistan is currently underway.

Anas Haqqani, a senior Taliban member, was also quoted by TOLO News agency as saying that there have been positive improvements in the country's political sector. He cited reciprocal opening of embassies by both Afghanistan and other countries as evidence of the implicit recognition by world's nations.

"This is the result of the political efforts that Kabul is full of embassies today, and in many countries we have opened our own embassies, which is a silent process of recognition," Haqqani said in an address to tribal leaders in Khost province on Tuesda, according to the agency.

He said differences should not harm the country's national values and that security forces should abide by the amnesty decree of the Islamic Emirate leader.

While Haqqani made the claim, and the Taliban insists that it has met all the conditions for being officially recognised, no country has officially come forward with official recognition of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan after their take over of the country in August last year.
