New York: It is not yet known how likely Vivek Ramaswamy to become Trump’s running mate, but Trump fans are seemingly excited about the idea.

Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who at some point appeared to be emerging as a rival to Trump, eventually quit the race for White House.

The decision came after Ramaswamy failed to make any impact in the first US election test in Iowa.

A day after he withdrew from the race, Ramaswamy joined Trump on stage and endorsed his former rival.

The 38-year-old Republican, who openly supported Trump during his campaign, received overwhelming welcome from Donald Trump supporters.

He was greeted with chants of ‘VP, VP, VP’ as he joined former US president on the stage.

Trump hugged Ramaswamy, introducing him as a ‘friend and a ‘true leader’ even as the crowds chanted ‘VP’, hinting at giving him the deputy post of Vice President.

Ramaswamy delivered an impassioned speech urging his supporters to back Trump in the presidential race.

‘Going forward he will have my full endorsement for the presidency, and I think we're gonna do the right thing for this country. There is not a better choice left in this race than this man right here. And that is why I am asking you to do the right thing as New Hampshire and to vote for Donald J. Trump as your next president,” Ramaswamy told the crowd.

Responding to the crowds chanting, Trump said ‘Pretty good, isn't it? He is a fantastic guy, and he really got something that is very special. He is going to be working with us, and he will be working with us for a long time’.

However, Ramaswamy will not be picked for the White House job as per a report in New York Post. Trump's top adviser Jason Miller reportedly said that Ramaswamy’s chance for the post is ‘very low’ .
