US man sets record for pushing peanut up a mountain with his nose

A man from Colorado, US has set a bizarre record by pushing a peanut up a hill using his nose. 53-year-old Bob Salem is now the first person in the 21st century to do so.
Salem is the fourth person to attempt this feat.
He said the task was done to bring a bit of history to celebrate Manitou Springs' 150th Celebration. "I hope everyone takes the time to visit and indulge in the rich history the Pikes Peak area represents."
He worked mostly at night to avoid the heat and distractions on the mountain. "When I did it in the daylight, I'd have to stop every 10 minutes, five minutes, and take some pictures, talk to some people and do all that kind of stuff so it kind of dragged on the trip a little," reported Lad Bible.
About the physical struggle of the task, he claimed that it was not too bad because he doesn't feel sore. "I know I lost some weight. It was just doing the back and forth that really took it out of me."
Salem has lost about two dozen peanuts over the course of his task because they will fall through the cracks in the rocks and cannot be retrieved. When he arrived on top of the mountain, a representative of the city presented him with a jewellery box for the final peanut.
The City of Manitou Springs Government shared a video of the incident on Facebook. Salem used a contraption taped to his nose to push the peanut and it took him seven days to complete the task. The video has already been viewed over 9,000 times.
The people greeted him with cheers on the ceremonial finish that took place on July 15. He received letters from Manitou Springs and the Mayor of the City of Colorado Springs.
The previous record for the same was eight days. A man pushed a peanut up Pikes Peak 93 years ago.
