New Delhi: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama advised India and China to continue with dialogue to resolve the border dispute.

The serene spiritual leader's advice comes along in the midst of the ongoing tension between the neighbours along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, according to India Today.

The Dalai Lama told India and China ahead of his visit to Ladakh that use of military force is outdated.

The spiritual leader is likely to spend over a month in Ladakh which could rile China further amid the military standoff.

As for Tibet's freedom, Dalai Lama said he was not seeking independence but genuine autonomy for all Tibetans living in the three traditional provinces of Tibet.

He added that some Chinese hardliners considers him a separatist and a reactionary.

More Chinese according to him, are realising he is not seeking independence but meaningful autonomy to Tibet, ensuring the preservation of Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Responding to China's objections to his visit, he said Chinese people were not objecting to it.

An increasing number of Chinese were showing interest in Tibetan Buddhism alongside Chinese scholars are realizing Tibetan Buddhism is scientific, he added.

Earlier this month, Beijing asked India not to interfere China's internal affairs after Prime Minister Modi greeted Dalai Lama on his 87 th birthday.
