New Delhi: The Google searches on "The Elephant Whisperers" raged like anything, a whopping 8,164 per cent, worldwide after it won the Best Documentary Short Film at the 95th Oscars, IANS reported citing a Friday report.

Online searches on "Mudumalai National Park" soared by 246 per cent worldwide after the documentary's victory at the Academy Awards, Celeb Tattler, an Affrica-based media firm, revealed.

Celeb Tattler said, "After making history at this year's Academy Awards, The Elephant Whisperers is receiving a huge boost in online searches. Not only being embraced by Hollywood - but also the world."

"The movie, released last year, and scored an unheard-of 100 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, was praised for its compelling narrative. Now, after winning the 'Documentary Short Film' award at this year's Oscars ceremony, the movie's profile is being boosted far beyond its initial release," it added.

The report suggests that the production of the film, Guneet Monga, gathered 30,000 new followers after it received the honour. The director, Kartiki Gonsalves, saw her Wikipedia page registering more than 1,25,000 views. Also, her Instagram account gathered 25,000 more followers, doubling her follower count overnight.

"Naatu Naatu", the Oscar-winning song from the Rajamouli flick "RRR", also scored excellent in Google searches. The song registered a 1,105 per cent worldwide after it was honoured at the Oscars for "Best Original Song", the report by Celeb Tattler stated.
