Musician Khatija Rahman ties knot with fiancé Riyasdeen Mohammed

Khatija Rahman, the daughter of music director AR Rahman, tied the knot with her fiancé and audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamad in the presence of family and friends. The proud father has shared a family photo on Instagram saying, "May the Almighty bless the couple .. thanking you in advance for your good wishes and love."
The family picture shows the bride and the groom seated on a sofa in their white wedding finery, while the rest of the family stood behind to pose for the camera. Rahman's elder daughter Raheema, his wife Saira Banu, the composer himself and his son Ameen were standing behind the couple. A portrait of Rahman's late mother was also displayed near the couple as seen in the photo that he shared.
The News Minute portal reported that the musician and composer Khatija herself shared a picture of her husband and herself on social media, announcing their wedding. She wrote, "The most awaited day in my life. Married to my man." Khatija is rarely seen in public and is considered to be both religious and spiritual.
The couple had got engaged in January this year in a private ceremony with only friends and family in attendance. She announced her engagement on social media where she wrote, "With the blessings of the Almighty, I'm happy to announce to you all my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed, an aspiring entrepreneur and a wizkid audio engineer. The engagement happened on December 29, my birthday, in the presence of close family and loved ones."
Her fiancé Riyas also made the announcement via social media saying, "With the blessings of the Almighty, I'm happy to announce to you all my engagement with Khatija Rahman, musician, producer and philanthropist. The engagement happened on December 29, on her birthday in the presence of close family and loved ones." Khatija, responding to Riyas, said, "Blessed and grateful to have got you in my life Riyasdeen."
Like her father, Khatija is also a musician and singer. 'Farishton', her singing debut has won a number of awards. She has also sung various songs including Rock a Bye Baby for Kriti Sanon-starrer Mimi.
