Kerala records over 70% voting turnout, final tallies will be delayed

Thiruvananthapuram: All 20 constituencies in Kerala recorded good voting turnout in the Lok Sabha elections.

Voting time was till 6 pm. However, tokens were given to those who were in line at 6 o'clock. Voting will be completed after recording their votes.

70.03 percent votes were recorded till 7.45 pm.

The polling in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was 77.84 percent.

Polling was generally peaceful. The booths were very crowded at the beginning of voting. At the same time, complaints of slow polling speed were widely raised.

During the polling, seven people collapsed and died in different districts.

The second phase of voting in the country has been completed today. After seven phases of voting, the results will be announced on June 4.
