Jeddah: The Red Sea International Film Festival saw many A-list Indian film stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Freida Pinto, Sonam Kapoor, and Priyanka Chopra. Iconic Bollywood film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was the opening film.

SRK was honoured at the event and several celebrities including Hollywood star Sharon Stone were seen looking starstruck. In a viral video, Stone appears to be gleefully surprised to realise that she is sitting next to Shah Rukh Khan. As SRK walks and takes the seat next to her, she gasps and mouths 'oh my god' while clapping.

After receiving the Honorary Award for his exceptional contribution to the film industry, he said: "I am truly honoured to receive this award from the Red Sea International Film Festival. It's wonderful to be here among my fans from Saudi and the region who have always been huge supporters of my films. I'm looking forward to celebrating the region's talent and being a part of this exciting film community."

Mohammed Al Turki, CEO of the RedSeaIFF said they are thrilled to honour SRK who is a remarkable talent and global superstar. "He has captivated audiences since his earliest performances and is one of the world's most renowned actors working today. After 30 years in the industry, Shah Rukh Khan remains one of the most successful superstars of Indian cinema and is beloved by audiences around the world."

While SRK and Kajol were at the screening of their 1995 film, Priyanka attended the opening ceremony and Sonam Kapoor walked the red carpet on the second day. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shekhar Kapur, and Shabana Azmi were also at the festival that began on Thursday. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are being lauded for looking like Indian royalties at the high-profile event.
