'The Great Indian Kitchen' selected for Shanghai Film Festival

Jeo Baby's critically-acclaimed film 'The Great Indian Kitchen' has been selected for the 2021 Shanghai International Film Festival.
The film portraying the struggles of women in conservative Indian families was an instant hit among cinephiles.
Though the film -rejected by Netflix and Amazon- got released on an apparently small OTT platform called Neestream, it has won wide appreciation from critics and audiences, especially from women.
The cinema also received accolades from other filmmakers and actors even from other industries, including Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee who called it: "...one of the greatest Indian films made in recent times."
The filmmaker took it to the social media to make the announcement and congratulated the cast and crew for the new achievement.
