Action to be taken against social media post falsely quoting CJI Chandrachud: SC

New Delhi: The Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud's file photo was used in a social media post that misquoted him to incite public outrage against the authorities, the Supreme Court said on Monday. The court said law enforcement will take action against the post.

“The post is fake, ill-intended and mischievous. No such post has been issued by the Chief Justice of India nor has he authorised any such post,” said the press note released by the Public Relations Office of the Supreme Court.
