Hyderabad: Union Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the countdown for the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS Government in Telangana has begun.

He added that the BJP's fight will not stop until the current government is dethroned. "Telangana people have come to know about you ( KCR) and your family corruption. To divert attention they made TRS to BRS." He said about the veteran politician renaming the party.

He also alleged that the entire world is watching the public outrage against BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samiti) and KCR. Shah claimed that the BJP is forming a government in Telangana and corrupt leaders will be put behind bars. The state is holding elections later this year.

"The countdown for the ruling BRS in Telangana which has been running a corrupt government in the state for the last eight-nine years has begun," said the BJP leader. He also promised to remove the reservations for Muslims if the BJP comes to power in the state.

Shah further alleged that the policing and administration in Telangana have been completely politicised. He claimed that the welfare measures extended by PM Modi are not reaching grassroots levels.

About the arrest of Telangana BJP president and Lok Sabha MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Shah said that BJP workers will not be cowed down. "He feels that BJP party workers will be scared if put behind bars. KCR, listen, our workers are not scared of your atrocities."

He was speaking at a public meeting titled "Vijay Sankalp Sabha" at Chevella.
