Asia’s largest aero show begins in Bengaluru, 98 countries participate

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 14th edition of Asia’s largest aero show in Bengaluru today.
Opening the show PM Modi said the Aero India showcases India’s new strength and aspirations.
The made-in-India Tejas aircraft according to him is an example of India's strength in the technology.
The Aero India 2023 will feature breathtaking aerobatics by leading military aircraft in the world.
Hosting the mind-blowing show featuring leading aircraft will help India forge partnerships with foreign companies, according to NDTV.
As well as displaying indigenous equipment, leading fighter jets from the United States Air Force (USAF) will conduct daily aerial demonstrations.
Those to be on static display include the US Navy's most advanced frontline carrier-based, multirole strike fighter F/A-18F Super Hornet and the F/A-18E.
Nearly 809 companies from 98 countries are expected to take part in the event themed as “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities".
Though a military-based event, India will strive to achieve a domestic travel boom along rebuilding its brand abroad.
The event will see India signing 251 agreements with foreign defence companies garnering investments to the tune of ₹ 75,000 crore.
As part of its "Make in India" policy, India has pressed companies including Lockheed Martin Corp, Boeing, and Airbus to share technology or make more than parts in the country.
