A signboard in Bengaluru has captured attention on the internet by cautioning citizens about the rising phenomenon of smartphone zombies.

The sign, displaying a straightforward warning, "Beware of Smartphone Zombies," serves as a poignant reminder of the increasing prevalence of digital distraction in society.

The image was shared on social media by user @prakritea17 with the caption, "This signboard in BLR single handedly attacked our entire generation." The post quickly went viral, sparking a lively response from online users.

The term 'Smartphone Zombies' characterises individuals so absorbed in their mobile devices that they appear as if walking unconsciously, disconnected from the physical world. This behavior not only leads to diminished productivity and social isolation but also poses significant safety risks, particularly when people use their phones while navigating busy streets.

The satirical signboard struck a chord with internet users.

Responding to it, one user questioned, "Wtf is this even real?"

"Nowadays it looks like talking over the phone while crossing the busiest junction is a mandatory stuff for pedestrians... people lack basic sense," remarked another user.

"That's a sixer hit by the BLR municipal corporation," commented a third user.

"Bangalore City Police Rocks," expressed the fourth user.

"This banner should be in Mumbai," suggested the fifth user.
