BJP conspiring to flare caste-based riots: Rakesh Tikaittext_fields
New Delhi: Following a clash between BJP workers and anti-farm law protestors at Ghazipur border, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait on Wednesday accused the BJP of conspiring to flare caste-based riots. Tikait further alleged that BJP workers showed black flags to the leaders and used abusive language.
As per witnesses, the said clash occurred when BJP workers carried out a procession on a flyway where the farmers have been camping since November 2020. A fight ensued on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway around noon which rendered several injured.
While the farmers claimed the occurrence to be a BJP conspiracy to destroy the seven-month-long protest, the BJP claims that abuses and casteist slurs were used against them as they were taking out a procession for the newly-appointed BJP general secretary Amit Valmiki.
