Chennai: The owner of Chennai-based Challani Jewellery chose generous gifts for this Deepavali. He gifted eight employees cars and 18 employees bikes. The businessman spent Rs 1.2 crores on the gifts.

Some of the employees were very much surprised and overcome with emotions, reported ANI.

The businessman Jayanthi Lal said his employees are like family because they supported him through the highs and lows. "This is to encourage and add something special to their lives. They have worked with me in all ups and downs in my business and helped me earn profits."

He added that he wanted to surprise the staff like he would surprise family members. He also encouraged other businessmen to follow the gifting example.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the store's team wrote "CHALLANI - an emotion to all who have been associated with it. What do we owe to the beautiful souls out there who have chisels and curated the organisation? It's employees to what it is today. We have a Special DNA running inside our organisation and that is uncontainable Love, be it towards our customers or our employees. We ensure they are just loved unconditionally. For helping us, thanks to them."
