Bengaluru: The Karnataka police have filed an FIR against the organisers of a Ganesh Visarjan procession after a video of a provocative song is being played outside a mosque in Kalaburagi went viral on social media.

In the video, the Ganesh Visarjan procession can be seen halted outside the Mehbus Masjid in Kalaburagi for a while and the provocative song can be heard being played. The alleged incident is said to have happened on the evening of Saturday, September 10.

Taking a cue from the video that went viral on social media, the police have a suo moto case against the organisers of the procession, as well as the Disc Jockey (DJ) for playing a provocative song on loudspeakers.

The video also shows a large gathering of people were being dancing to the song "Khoon se iss dharthi ko ham nehlayenge, hum tujhko teri aukaat batayenge (We will drench this land in blood, we will put you in your place.)" on a loudspeaker outside the mosque.

In the FIR, it was mentioned that the group was in the act of inciting communal tension in tha e area. However the registration of the case, the police have not arrested the people named in the FIR.

The case has been registered under Sections 103 (the penalty for contravention of regulation of traffic and for the preservation of order in public places), 31 (Power to make orders for the regulation of traffic and for the preservation of order in public places) of the Karnataka Police Act 1963 and Sections 188 (Disobedience to an order lawfully promulgated by a public servant) and 295A (Restraining acts of outraging religious sentiments) of the Indian Penal Code.
