New BJP Govt in Madhya Pradesh launches bulldozer raj razing homes of 3 Muslim men

Bhopal: Soon after being sworn in as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav’s direction for the demolition of homes of three Muslims who were accused of attacking a BJP party worker has been carried out by bulldozers, apparently launching the days of bulldozer raj.
The government justified the razing of the homes of Farukh, Aslam, Shahrukh, Bilal, and Sameer, citing violations of building plan permissions.
The attack in question took place on December 5, when Devendra Singh Thakur, the mandal general secretary of the BJP jhuggi jhopri cell, was allegedly assaulted with a sword by Farukh.
The altercation arose from a heated argument over election results, leading to Thakur sustaining deep cuts to his hand while attempting to shield himself.
In response to the incident, senior BJP leaders visited Thakur in the hospital and organized demonstrations, demanding strict action against the accused. Subsequently, Farukh, along with four others identified was arrested by the police.
Manish Raj Singh Bhadoriya, the in-charge of Habibganj police station, revealed that the confrontation between the individuals escalated after taunts were exchanged over the election results. Bhadoriya also disclosed that Farukh had a criminal record, and charges under the National Security Act (NSA) had been filed against him.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yadav, in his initial days in office, implemented stringent measures, including a ban on loudspeakers and DJs at religious gatherings exceeding prescribed volume limits.
Additionally, an "intensive campaign" was announced to curb the "illegal buying and selling of meat, fish, etc." As part of this campaign, around 10 meat shops were demolished in compliance with regulations.
