New Delhi: Vivek Agnihotri's flick 'The Kashmir Files' has given rise to conversations surrounding Kashmir across political divide again.

As the talk of the town is on, former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday accused the BJP-led government of pushing hatred into people's heart by rendering the movie tax free.

India Today reported Abdullah as saying that they (BJP-led government) further wanted to penetrate people's hearts with hatred.

He reportedly said that the government wanted every policeman and soldier to watch this move "so that they hate us to the extreme".

He drew a parallel with the Germany that Hitler and Goebles created and added that six million Jews had to pay the price then. Adbullah wondered how many would have to pay price in India.

The former chief minister dubbed the movie a propaganda platform. According to him it raked up a tragedy that affected every soul of the state, Hindus and Muslims alike.

He said his heart bled over the tragedy and added that there was an section of political parties interested in ethnic cleansing.

Farooq Abdullah urged for a truth commission in place to probe not just what happened to the Kashmiri Pandits but also to the Sikhs and the Muslims there in the 1990s.

He was quoted as saying meat (flesh) of his lawmakers, workers and his ministers had to be picked from tree-tops. The report didn't delineate the incident he mentioned.
