V M Sudheeran denounces "Veekshanam" article

Kottayam: KPCC president V M Sudheeran on Sunday condemned an article published in the party mouth piece “Veekshanam” against Kerala Congress (M).

Talking to the media here, Sudheeran said that the article was not published with the knowledge of the party leadership.

“The policy of the Congress is to strengthen its ties with its allies. Such acts will harm its efforts to run the Front smoothly. They should be careful while writing articles,” he said.

The Congress veteran added that he had directed the concerned persons of the daily to not repeat such acts.

The ‘Veekshanam’ article, published Friday, had ridiculed the Kerala Congress as a shy and reluctant girl in its fiftieth year, referring to reported attempts of the party being pushed to migrate to the LDF fold.

The article had reminded Mani to keep away from tempting offers from the LDF, while pointing out that it would prove costly for the regional party and the very existence of the party since the seventies was owing to the highly beneficial tie-up with the Congress.
