Thiruvananthapuram: IPS officer Rishiraj Singh on Wednesday was served a show-cause notice in connection with the alleged breach of the protocol at the function attended by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala at the Police Academy in Thrissur.

The Chief Minister served him the notice following a report submitted by the Home Secretary.

The photograph of him allegedly showing disrespect to the Home Minister had gone viral in the social media.

Rishiraj Singh, in his explanation to the DGP, had made it clear that he did not show any disrespect towards Home Minister.

The incident had occurred earlier this month when the Home Minister arrived to attend the passing out parade of women police personnel at the Police Academy in Thrissur.
