Veteran journalist V Rajagopal passes away

Kochi: Veteran sports writer and journalist V. Rajagopal passed away at a private hospital here on Tuesday morning. He was 63.

Rajagopal, who covered five Olympics, six Asian Games and a Youth Olympics, had retired as Deputy Editor of the Mathrubhumi daily last year.

He had written a column named as 'Olympian' in Mathrubhumi weekend for several years.

Rajagopal was a recipient of Kerala Sports Council's award on two occasions.
