No change in stand on light metros: E. Sreedharan

Thiruvananthapuram: Sticking to his stand on the light metros to be set up in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, DMRC principal adviser E.Sreedharan Monday has said the public-private partnership (PPP) models are not suitable for the project.

“Everyone knows my stand on the project. There is no need to repeat it,” he told reporters.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has convened a meeting with E.Sreedharan today to sort out issues in implementation of light metro projects.

The debate over public-private-partnership (PPP) mode intensified as the state finance department had recommended that only hybrid PPP model would be effective for implementing light metro.
