Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan Tuesday took a jibe at the state police chief, alleging that the cops have terribly failed to keep the law and order in the state.
Talking to reporters at a press conference here, Achuthanandan said the law and order situation in the state has become like that of the north Indian states.
“Goonda gangs are ruling the streets while the DGP is playing on the Facebook. It is better to change his post as the DGP for Facebook instead of the DGP for law and order,” he said.
The Opposition leader's comments came in view of the shocking incident of a man being beaten to death by a four-member gang at Vaikkom near Attingal in broad daylight in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.
