Chenganassery: State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala Saturday came out in support of NSS general secretary G.Sukumaran Nair for his yesterday’s remark.

“Sukumaran Nair’s remark is enough to prove the NSS’s secular identity,” Chennithala said while speaking on the occasion of the Mannam Jayanthi celebrations here.

On Friday, NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair had come down heavily on the BJP saying that the NSS could not be wrapped in saffron and no one should try to intimidate the organisation.

“No political organisations should try to intimidate NSS. Those who are clad in saffron need not entertain any illusion that NSS could be wrapped in saffron,” he said.
