Case against Shamsudheen Palath for hate speech

Kasargod: A case has been registered against Shamsudheen Palath, a Salafi preacher, for his alleged hate speech.

The case was registered on a complaint filed by public prosecutor Shukkur.

C Shukkur, in his complaint submitted to Kasargod police chief, said the preecher in the garb of religious teaching was spreading hate and dividing society.

He also submitted to police CDs of Palath's two speeches, which had gone viral in social media.

Shamsudheen Palath in his speeches had allegedly called upon Muslims to avoid having interactions or attachment with and respect to non-Muslims.
