Women who suffered burns during magical cure dies

Nadapuram: The women who suffered serious burns during magical cure died here on Tuesday. Shameena (29) died at a private hospital where she was undergoing treatment.

Najma, the sorcerer had been arrested after the incident. The victim reportedly had told the police that Najma poured petrol into the ‘Homa Kundam’, which she prepared as part of the crude ritual, and a fire broke out in the room.

On the basis of a written complaint, Najma was arrested and she was later remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
