Thiruvananthapuram: Police have taken into custody a staff of infamous Kallada Travels for trying to molest a woman passenger travelling on the bus.
Thenhipalam police in Malappuram apprehended the reserve driver, Johnson Joseph, based on the complaint filed by a woman passenger.
A resident of Trichy in Tamil Nadu, she was on the bus travelling from Kannur to Kollam when the incident took place.
As per the complaint, the driver tried to molest her in the wee hours of Thursday and other passengers alerted the police.
A case has been registered against him under Indian Penal Code Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
