Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Legislative Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution moved by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, which ratified the Constitution (126th) Amendment Bill extending quota to SC/STs in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies by another 10 years.
The resolution was supported by the Opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and BJP's lone lawmaker O Rajagopal.
Before bringing into force, the Bill has to be ratified by at least 50 per cent of the State Assemblies.
