Bengaluru : The Bengaluru City Police on Wednesday imposed Section 144 of IPC in city from December 19 till December 21, in the wake of CAA protests.
The move comes ahead of protests and marches panned by various outfits in the city.
Section 144 prohibits gatherings of more than four persons.
Left parties and a few Muslim outfits called a bandh on Thursday. Afterwards, police clamped section 144 in the city.
Earlier, some students from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, conducted a silent protest against the Act.
