Mumbai's Musheer Khan, part of the ICC U19 World Cup Indian team, showcased exceptional performances in the ongoing Ranji Trophy final, breaking a historic record previously held by Sachin Tendulkar.

He has become the youngest Mumbai batter to score a century in a Ranji Trophy final.

Musheer's remarkable knock of 136 runs in 326 deliveries, including 10 boundaries, contributed significantly to Mumbai securing a substantial 500-plus run lead against Vidarbha.

At the age of 19, Musheer Khan became the youngest Mumbai batter to score a century in a Ranji Trophy final. The previous record holder, Sachin Tendulkar, was present at the stands as Musheer achieved this milestone in 255 balls. Tendulkar had set the record when he was just below 22 years of age during the 1994-95 season final against Punjab.

In the semifinal clash against Tamil Nadu, Musheer played a pivotal role with the bat, scoring a valuable 55 in 131 balls before Mumbai clinched victory by an innings and 70 runs. During the quarterfinal against Baroda, Musheer converted his maiden first-class century into a double ton, smashing 203 runs in the first innings. Mumbai secured victory based on the first-innings lead after the match ended in a draw.

Musheer's impressive performance in the ongoing Ranji Trophy includes a total of 433 runs in three matches, boasting an average of 108.25 with two centuries and a half-century.

His elder brother, Sarfaraz Khan, recently made his international debut against India in the third Test against England, making notable contributions with twin half-centuries in his debut match.
