New York: At least some customers complain their iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are overly heating up while charging and during use, according to NDTV.
The first buyers’ complaint came as the company’s flagship product made a fanfare entry into the market with iPhone enthusiasts queuing up at Apple stores.
Taking to social media platforms including Reddit and X several first buyers of the iPhone 15 series say that the phone gets too hot to touch while gaming, calling or during FaceTime video chat.
The problem gets difficult while the device is plugged in to charge.
Apple technical support team reportedly advised customers to visit an old support article that gives guidance on how to handle an iPhone that feels too hot or cold.
Overheating can occur, according to this guidance, while using intensive apps, charging or setting up a new device for the first time.
Though Apple performs rigorous scrutiny of new models, flaws could still prop up, which the company overcomes through software updates or other fixes.
Devices getting warm unusually is not a new issue, which can happen from supercharged processors that power modern gadgets.
However, many customers must be wondering whether the problem has gone beyond the normal.
It could be compounded by what the report says the iPhone setup process. Re-downloading on the new phone data, photos, apps from iCloud could be ‘a long and processor-intensive procedure.’
Running some apps in the background can also trigger the heat, according to the report.
A large number of other iPhone 15 Pro owners reported no issues, according to the report, which could mean that either problem is not so intense or in line with previous models.
